SUMMARY:EUCHIS Multidisciplinary Masterclass 2025
DESCRIPTION:A precise and comprehensive macromolecular characterization of chitosans is of importance in chitosan science\, as the properties of these polymers heavily depend on the degree of acetylation\, the distribution of molar masses\, and ultimately\, the deacetylation sequence (deacetylation pattern). Any scientific work presented without the structural characterization of chitosan cannot be considered reproducible and should not be accepted for publication. \nIn the summer school this year 2025\, we will present state-of-the-art methods for macromolecular characterization of chitosans\, as well as their impact on the physicochemical\, rheological\, mechanical\, physical\, and biological behaviors of various materials based on chitosan. This multidisciplinary program will include lectures and practical sessions\, enabling young scientists to gain a comprehensive foundation to start or continue their research in the field of chitin/chitosan\, with the necessary background for a thorough establishment of structure-property relationships. \nhttps://euchismasterclass.org/
