SUMMARY:9th European Symposium of Photopolymer Science ESPS2026
DESCRIPTION:The field of photopolymer science continues year after year to steadily advance fueled both by academic enthusiasm and by industrial pragmatism. The numerous environmental and economic benefits of light induced chemistry make these technologies popular for manufacturers and fabricators within a wide range of different industrial sectors. \nThe European Symposium of Photopolymer Science (ESPS) aims to bring together the brightest minds from both academia and industry to collectively present and discuss the fundamental issues within this still burgeoning field. The meeting consists of seminars from not just European but international leaders of photopolymer science with topics addressing critical issues such as photochemistry\, reaction kinetics\, analytical methods\, photoinitiator and monomer synthesis\, structure-property relations\, polymer processing\, as well as applications. \nThe first ESPS meeting was held in Mulhouse\, France in 2010. Over the last 15 years the conferenc place changed to other outstanding locations like Torino\, Vienna\, Leipzig\, Mulhouse\, Istanbul and Stresa. Also an virtual symposium took place in 2021 during the pandemic period and attracted nearly 500 participants from all over the world. Looking to continue a tradition of excellence set by the previous meetings\, the Vienna University of Technology will host the Ninth Symposium to be held September 7-10\, 2026. \nIt is the intention of the organizers to provide ample time for discussion to emphasize the workshop character and stimulate the exchange of new ideas. The program will be mainly based on invited talks given by respectable scientists working in the field of photopolymer science. DESCRIPTION:Aider les industriels et les académiques (start up jusqu’aux grands groupes) des domaines de la chimie\, de l’industrie pharmaceutique\, des dispositifs médicaux\, biocides\, nutrition\, cosmétique à évaluer la toxicité systémique et à anticiper les changements à venir. \nSont concernés : les substances (une substance\, une évaluation : partage des outils) et les produits finis.\nPour évaluer la toxicité systémique\, le colloque abordera la batterie d’outils prédictifs et de tests alternatifs et présentera les nouveaux tests en recherche et en cours de validation. \nLes méthodes alternatives prédictives transforment l’évaluation de la toxicité systémique. Face à une réglementation européenne en pleine mutation — Road Map de la Commission Européenne\, REACH\, NGRA — industriels et académiques doivent anticiper des changements majeurs dans leurs pratiques.  \nL’objectif du colloque est de rassembler la recherche académique\, les start-ups et les industriels concernés afin de renforcer les liens entre les chercheurs académiques\, les développeurs de tests\, les utilisateurs et les agences de la réglementation.

DESCRIPTION:Polysolvat-16 is the latest in a series of successful international conferences held every two years\, most recently in Kolkata (India\, 2024)\, Strasbourg (France\, 2022)\, Osaka (Japan\, 2021\, virtual conference)\, and Grenoble (France\, 2018). \nThe conference focuses on the formation mechanisms\, morphology\, molecular structure\, and properties of compounds formed between solvent molecules and/or small molecules with synthetic polymers and biopolymers\, proteins\, and supramolecular polymers (self-organized systems)\, taking into account both fundamental aspects and the application potential. The bulk state\, solutions\, and systems formed at surfaces/interfaces will be considered\, with a particular emphasis on scattering characterization methods using X-rays and neutrons. \nThe next edition Polysolvat-16 will be organized by JCNS\, Forschungszentrum Jülich. DESCRIPTION:La conférence internationale MATÉRIAUX 2026 se tiendra du 16 au 20 novembre 2026 à Grenoble (Isère). Cet évènement est organisé par la Fédération Française des Matériaux (FFM) qui regroupe 26 associations scientifiques et techniques concernées par les matériaux. Elle s’inscrit dans la série des conférences MATÉRIAUX qui se tiennent tous les quatre ans depuis 2002 et qui se sont imposées comme l’événement francophone incontournable pour l’ensemble des acteurs académiques et industriels du monde des matériaux. \nLieux de rencontre et d’échange propices à la mise en place de nouvelles collaborations\, ces conférences permettent de faire le point sur les dernières innovations scientifiques et technologiques et de mieux appréhender les perspectives\, à court et moyen termes\, en matière de conception et de mise en œuvre des matériaux. Les thèmes des colloques ont été choisis pour favoriser au maximum les échanges entre participants d’horizons divers\, autour de problématiques très variées.

SUMMARY:Mechanics of Bond Breaking 2027: from Single Molecules to Polymer Networks
DESCRIPTION:Bond breaking and reforming have a determining influence on the mechanical and rheological properties of polymer materials and are crucial features to understand and control. These molecular level processes have an impact across different length scales up to the macroscopic level\, and it is therefore essential to establish links between these different length scales. However\, correlating bulk mechanical performances with the nanomechanical properties of individual molecular constituents remains a major challenge. This symposium aims thus at bringing together scientists working at different length scales\, from single molecules to bulk materials. \nThe scientific programme will include topics such as: \n\nCovalent Adaptable Networks and Vitrimers\nFracture Behavior\nMechanochemistry\nRheological and Mechanical Properties of Polymer Networks\nSelf-healing\nSingle Molecule Force Spectroscopy\nSupramolecular Materials\n\nThe 3-day symposium will take place in the prestigious rooms and gallery of the KBR Museum (Royal Library of Belgium). \nIt will include invited plenary lectures\, keynote lectures\, short communications selected from submitted abstracts and a poster session.

SUMMARY:Beyond Waste 2027 - Recycling of materials from atoms to systems
DESCRIPTION:Le recyclage est un domaine de recherche pluridisciplinaire impliquant : chimie\, physique\, numérique\, mais aussi droit\, économie\, sciences sociales\, etc. Pour contribuer à cet important défi de société et pour proposer des solutions pertinentes\, il est nécessaire d’adopter une approche holistique\, des matériaux aux systèmes\, des atomes aux actions. \nBeyond Waste 2027 est un colloque scientifique international\, organisé à Lille (France) du 16 au 18 mars 2027. Il réunira des experts du monde entier pour se rencontrer et discuter autour de thématiques de recherche liées au recyclage\, à l’écoconception et à la circularité des matières. Cet événement proposera des sessions parallèles abordant en détail des sujets liés aux matériaux (plastiques\, matériaux composites\, métaux stratégiques\, textiles et papiers-cartons)\, ainsi qu’à des enjeux sectoriels (D3E\, nouvelles technologies de l’énergie – photovoltaïque\, éolien\, hydrogène -\, batteries et déchets ménagers) et des thématiques interdisciplinaires avec l’apport du numérique et des sciences humaines et sociales. Des conférences plénières permettront également de couvrir des sujets plus larges et généraux\, touchant à la politique\, l’économie ou les questions environnementales. \nPorté par le Programme de recherche national PEPR « Recyclage\, Recyclabilité et Réutilisation des Matières »\, qui réunit plus de 300 scientifiques issus de près d’une centaine de laboratoires sur l’ensemble du territoire\, Beyond Waste vise à fédérer un réseau de recherche international sur ces questions. Durant les trois jours du congrès\, l’objectif est de rassembler la communauté scientifique à travers le monde et de montrer la diversité et la richesse des recherches sur le recyclage et l’économie circulaire des matériaux\, qui ne peuvent pas être résolues au travers d’une seule discipline scientifique.
