SUMMARY:NeMMo 2024: New Materials for future MObility
DESCRIPTION:SEND US YOUR BEST PAPERS for the next edition of the NeMMo Congress which will take place in Rennes on 3 & 4 July 2024. \nCall For Papers is now launched ! \nNext steps calendar for Speakers: \n\n4 July 2023 – Call for Papers launch\n2 November 2023 – Deadline for Abstracts’ Submission\nBeginning of December 2023 – Final Programme\n6 June 2024 – Conferences Rehearsal via Teams\n\nMobility has always evolved to connect new technologies with new societal demands. The current environmental concerns fuel a transformation as never before\, with new modes of transport\, new energies\, new uses\, new regulations\, etc. \nJoin the third edition of NeMMo\, to make sure you are\, or will be\, ready to face these big challenges! \nNeMMo 2024 organized by SFIP & SIA will be back\, in RENNES on July 3 & 4\, 2024 for two days of exchanges and conferences\, around an exhibition. It will allow to meet these expectations and imagine the future of mobility. \nNeMMo 2024 ambitions to gather all the players of the mobility industry to trigger and facilitate the innovations and the technological developments necessary to meet these challenges : OEMs\, raw materials suppliers – polymer\, metal and mineral industries\, tiers N-suppliers\, materials processors and converters\, machines and tooling manufacturers\, global mobility manufactures (rail\, aeronautics\, nautical…)\, simulation software developers\, multi-material assembly technologies providers\, materials recyclers\, academic research laboratories. \nThe main challenges of NeMMo 2024 are to highlight innovative products\, applications\, and manufacturing achievements aimed at:\n> Triggering metallic\, polymer\, and hybrid new solutions for sustainability\, carbon footprint\, lightweighting\, and electrification\,\n> Providing new opportunities by data science for materials development and simulation\,\n> Securing safety and competitiveness of electrified\, autonomous\, and connected vehicles\,\n> Addressing sustainability and circular economy topics along the entire value chain: LCA\, recycled materials\, feedstock market\, design\, etc. \nBe part of these challenges and join NeMMo 2024!

SUMMARY:Summer school on soft matter and food science
DESCRIPTION:Dear all\, \nWe are delighted to announce a summer school on soft matter and food science to be held in the summer of 2024 from July 23rd to August 2nd at the Institut des Etudes Scientifiques (IES) in Cargèse\, Corsica (France). \nThe school will offer a series of introductory lectures on Soft Matter covering the key building blocks\, i.e.\, polymers and colloids\, which can be used to formulate dispersions\, gels\, composites\, and soft glassy materials. Thanks to contributions from leading experts in the field\, the summer school will provide the basics of structural & mechanical characterization\, and multiscale modeling\, from MD simulations\, to continuum mechanics. \nMoreover\, the school will also include a series of more advanced classes focusing on food-related topics\, e.g.\, products composed of proteins\, polysaccharides and fat\, and tackle textural attributes of food as well as related industrial processes. \nPractical information\, including the list of speakers\, registration fees\, lodging info can be found on the following website : https://softfood.sciencesconf.org/ \nRegistration are opened to all\, but limited to 76 participants\, so do not wait\, sign up and join us! \n Looking forward to seeing you in Cargèse\, \n The organizing Committee \nEmanuela Del Gado (Georgetown Univ.)\nThibaut Divoux (CNRS\, ENS de Lyon)\nGareth H. McKinley (MIT)\nLaurence Ramos (CNRS\, L2C Montpellier)
