International Summer School FOREverOPV

9 juillet 2018 - 13 juillet 2018

Dear all,

Early bird registration and oral submission are available until the 8th of June.

Please spread this information around you and motivate young researchers to participate.
See the tutorial program below, we will be pleased to welcome you here in the southwest of France.

All details in the website https://foreveropv.sciencesconf.org

This summer school comes during an exciting period of rapid development for solar energy technologies, and particularly photovoltaics. Aimed at PhD and Master students, young reasearchers, but also open to those wishing to know more about the fundamental and applied science of this foremost renewable energy resource, this school will give the following tutorials

  • Renewable energies,Prof Vincent Platel (University of Pau, France)
  • Principles and development of organic photovoltaics,Prof Jenny Nelson (Imperial College London, United Kingdom)
  • Materials for organic solar cellsDr Graham Morse (Merck, United Kingdom)
  • Factors influencing charge mobility in organic semiconductorsProf Jenny Nelson(Imperial College London, United Kingdom)
  • Modelling electronic processing on organic solar cellsProf Jérôme Cornil (University of Mons, Belgium)
  • Fullerene acceptors in OPVProf Patrick Hudhomme (University of Angers, France)
  • Light on organic photovoltaic devices: The key role of scanning probe microscopyProf Philippe Leclère
  • Kinetic and thermodynamic effects on solar cell thin film stabilityProf Natalie Stingelin (Georgia Institute of Technology, USA)
  • Interfacial layers and electrodes for organic photovoltaicsDr Morten Madsen (University of South Denmark, Denmark)
  • Processing of OPV and encapsulationDr Tobias Sauermann (OPVIUS GmbH, Germany)
  • Commercialisation aspects for OPVDr Tobias Sauermann (OPVIUS GmbH, Germany)
  • Degradation of organic solar cells induced by  exposure to sunlightProf Jean-Luc Gardette (University of Clermont-Ferrand, France)
  • An overview of dye-sensitized solar cellsDr Renaud Demadrille (CEA Grenoble, France)
  • Introduction to silicon and thin films solar cellsProf Erik Johnson (Ecole Polytechnique University Paris-Saclay, France)
  • Introduction to perovskite solar cells,Prof Jacky Even (INSA Rennes, France)

A visit to coincide with the official opening of four world leading examples of building integrated (nearby Pau), community-scale organic photovoltaics will be organised.

Several sessions will be devoted to peer-reviewed short talks, and a call for abstracts for oral and poster presentations is open.
