𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹: This 12-month postdoc combines 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 and 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to develop a physical model that predicts the spreading and relaxation of a 𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗿-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 containing ceramic particles as it penetrates a reactive Newtonian liquid (e.g., one capable of inducing the drop’s gelation).
𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲:
- PhD in fluid mechanics, physical chemistry, or polymer materials science, and have strong expertise in rheology.
- Experimental skills, together with a strong interest in physical models, will be highly appreciated.
- Knowledge of numerical modelling tools, particularly MATLAB and Python, is also expected.
- Enthusiasm, rigour, the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and strong English communication skills will be considered essential.
