Le Groupe Français des Polymères (GFP) poursuit sa série de rencontres avec celles et ceux qui font vivre et évoluer la communauté française des polymères.
Cette fois, nous partons à la rencontre de Khalid Ferji,
enseignant-chercheur au Laboratoire de Chimie Physique Macromoléculaire (LCPM) de l’Université de Lorraine.
Ses travaux se situent à l’interface entre science des polymères, physico-chimie macromoléculaire et science des données.
Dans cette nouvelle vidéo-interview, il revient sur son parcours, sa passion pour les polymères et l’intégration progressive de l’intelligence artificielle et de la science des données dans la recherche en science des polymères.
Il évoque également la place du GFP dans son parcours :
un lieu d’échanges entre académiques et industriels, de partage de connaissances et d’ouverture vers de nouvelles thématiques scientifiques.

Polymérisation entre couches pour fiabiliser des cellules solaires à pérovskite
L’étude de Nature Photonics introduit des liaisons souples orientées entre la pérovskite et la couche de transport de charge afin de renforcer leur interface. Des précurseurs organiques placés de part et d’autre de la jonction sont reliés par polymérisation radicalaire, ce qui associe cohésion mécanique, transfert de charges et meilleure reproductibilité de la stabilité dans les cellules étudiées. Le résultat porte sur des dispositifs photovoltaïques expérimentaux et ne préjuge pas de la tenue de modules fabriqués en série.
France — Carbios et ses partenaires produisent des tee-shirts en polyester issu de déchets complexes
Carbios annonce, avec le consortium Fiber-to-Fiber, la fabrication de tee-shirts en polyester recyclé à partir de déchets textiles et plastiques difficiles à traiter. La dépolymérisation enzymatique du PET fournit des monomères ensuite repolymérisés, filés, tricotés, teints et confectionnés sur des lignes industrielles européennes, dont plusieurs étapes en France. Cette démonstration valide l’enchaînement des opérations textiles sur le lot présenté ; elle ne constitue pas encore une mesure indépendante de la performance économique d’une filière commerciale continue.
Microcapsules en polyamide formées sur des gabarits de glace
Une équipe décrit la croissance d’une membrane de polyamide autour de sphères de glace préchargées en monomère. Lors de la recristallisation, ce précurseur s’enrichit dans la couche quasi liquide et réagit à l’interface avec un monomère de la phase organique ; la fonte libère ensuite des microcapsules fermées pouvant retenir différents contenus. La perméabilité réglable et l’utilisation comme microréacteurs enzymatiques sont démontrées à l’échelle expérimentale, ouvrant une voie de compartimentation dont la transposition industrielle reste à établir.
Polymère organique covalent entrelacé pour la production photocatalytique de peroxyde d’hydrogène
Une publication d’Angewandte Chemie décrit un polymère organique covalent cristallin dont les liaisons de coordination bore-azote et les interactions entre motifs bromés construisent une architecture bidimensionnelle à jonctions entrelacées. Le matériau combine rigidité structurale, absorption de la lumière visible et migration des charges pour produire du peroxyde d’hydrogène par réduction de l’oxygène et oxydation de l’eau dans les essais présentés. La démonstration concerne un photocatalyseur défini, sans établir à ce stade un procédé de production industriel.
Récupération catalytique de fibres de verre issues de pales d’éoliennes
Une étude de Communications Chemistry traite des déchets de pales en composite verre-époxy par une réaction catalytique en diméthylsulfoxyde impliquant un complexe de manganèse. Les fibres de verre récupérées, y compris lorsqu’elles conservent des résidus de résine, sont ensuite évaluées comme renfort de mortier ; les auteurs proposent également un cadre mécanistique encore conceptuel pour expliquer les observations. La valorisation démontrée concerne ce couple de déconstruction et de réemploi, sans établir la viabilité industrielle du traitement de toutes les formulations de pales.
