Les batteries métal-ion hautes performances sont de plus en plus présentes dans notre quotidien, la filière européenne doit répondre à des critères de qualité, de sécurité, de durabilité, de performance et de production efficace et compétitive. L’enjeu est de taille dans un contexte où un accroissement du marché de 252 à 431 Mds de dollars US est attendu entre 2025 et 2030, (véhicules électriques, intégration des énergies renouvelables, stockage).
Bien que représentant un pourcentage assez faible de la masse totale, les polymères y jouent un rôle déterminant, comme des liants polymères, les séparateurs entre les électrodes permettant le transport des ions. Peu d’équipes de polyméristes sont actuellement impliquées en France dans ce domaine, alors que les challenges sont importants et les compétences présentes. Participer à cet atelier est une opportunité pour améliorer ses connaissances et faire naître des idées neuves, objets de futures recherches, à l’interface entre un besoin bien identifié et des compétences.
