Avec la série « Visage du GFP », le Groupe Français des Polymères (GFP) donne la parole aux femmes
et aux hommes de sa communauté, pour découvrir leurs activités et les liens qui les unissent aux sciences des polymères.
Ce nouveau portrait est consacré à Margarita Dorato, qui travaille chez Michelin sur les matériaux renouvelables et recyclés.
Invitée à intervenir lors du colloque national du GFP en novembre 2025, elle a accepté de partager sa vision à l’occasion d’une vidéo-interview.
Elle y évoque la place des polymères dans les pneumatiques et les défis associés à l’utilisation de ressources renouvelables et de matières recyclées. Elle souligne l’importance de préserver les performances des produits tout en intégrant les enjeux de recyclage et de recyclabilité.
Margarita Dorato revient également sur ses liens avec le GFP et sur le rôle des échanges entre recherche académique et industrie.
Ces rencontres contribuent à construire les collaborations nécessaires pour faire avancer les matériaux et les procédés de demain.
Un témoignage sur l’avenir des polymères dans les pneumatiques et sur la force d’une communauté qui relie connaissances scientifiques et enjeux industriels.

Colloque national GFP–GFR « Rhéologie & Polymères » – 1er et 2 février 2027
Le Groupe Français d’Études et d’Applications des Polymères (GFP) et le Groupe Français de Rhéologie (GFR) organisent le colloque national « Rhéologie & Polymères : Transformer les défis académiques en succès industriels », les 1er et 2 février 2027, dans les locaux de L’Oréal Recherche et Innovation à Aulnay-sous-Bois.
Ouverte aux membres et non-membres des deux associations, cette rencontre réunira doctorants, postdoctorants, chercheurs académiques et industriels autour de trois thématiques :
- Rhéologie et vitrimères ;
- Rhéologie et durabilité ;
- Rhéologie et biomatériaux.
Les participants sont invités à présenter leurs travaux sous forme de communications orales ou d’affiches. Des visites des laboratoires de Recherche et Innovation de L’Oréal seront également proposées le 2 février après-midi, sur inscription et dans la limite des places disponibles.

France — Institut Galien Paris-Saclay et BioCIS : prédire thermosensibilité et dégradation des copolymères
Les chercheurs de l’Institut Galien Paris-Saclay et de BioCIS modélisent des copolymères vinyliques dégradables par dynamique moléculaire gros-grain avec le champ de force MARTINI 3. Les simulations reproduisent leur passage entre agrégation et solubilisation dans l’eau et relient la vitesse d’hydrolyse à l’accessibilité des fonctions ester. Des liaisons hydrolysables peuvent rester protégées par l’organisation des chaînes, ce qui explique des différences de dégradation. Cette actualité CNRS du 6 octobre présente des travaux publiés dont la portée est la conception rationnelle de biomatériaux, pas une validation clinique.
France — ICMUB, ICMMO et LCPO : défluorer le PVF et le PVDF sans détruire leur squelette carboné
Les équipes de l’ICMUB à Dijon, de l’ICMMO à Orsay et du LCPO à Pessac utilisent des complexes de titane et le triéthylsilane pour défluorer le PVF et le PVDF en milieu aromatique. Le fluor est transféré vers un fluorosilane, tandis que le squelette carboné est conservé et partiellement fonctionnalisé par des groupes aromatiques. Mise en lumière par le CNRS le 6 octobre, cette étude publiée en août ouvre une voie de valorisation chimique des fluoropolymères. L’utilisation de solvants et de réactifs reste à optimiser avant un éventuel changement d’échelle.
Copolymères de styrène conçus pour une fragmentation chimique contrôlée
Les chercheurs de Hereon associent le styrène à l’anhydride itaconique, accessible à partir de glucides renouvelables, et introduisent le composé DOT comme point de rupture dans les chaînes. Une polymérisation assistée par micro-ondes produit des matériaux pouvant être fragmentés chimiquement, puis transformés par injection en petites pièces de laboratoire. Les essais préliminaires de culture cellulaire complètent cette démonstration de conception pour la fin de vie. Ces résultats ne prouvent ni une biodégradation en milieu naturel ni le fonctionnement d’une boucle commerciale de recyclage.
France — Arkema inaugure une nouvelle unité de purification de l’acide acrylique à Carling
Arkema inaugure à Carling une unité de purification de l’acide acrylique destinée à améliorer l’efficacité de sa production de monomères pour les revêtements, les adhésifs et le traitement de l’eau. L’entreprise annonce une réduction des consommations énergétiques et de solvants ainsi qu’une baisse de l’intensité carbone des opérations. Le projet bénéficie d’un soutien de France 2030, de l’ADEME et de financements européens. L’actualité concerne un investissement industriel réalisé en France ; le communiqué ne détaille pas la technologie de séparation et ne constitue pas une évaluation indépendante de ses gains environnementaux.
